David Fowler is the President of the Fairfield EDC, having served in this position since 2015, David manages, oversees and coordinates the City of Fairfield’s economic development efforts as it pertains to primary jobs and all other duties of a Type “A” economic development corporation.
David is a local guy having roots in Freestone County dating back four generations. His diverse background and experience include ten years with the BNSF Railway and six years as a licensed real estate agent.
David understands business owners and the challenges they face because he and his wife, Michelle are entrepreneurs also. They have been co-owners of a local title company since 2006. This business experience has proven to be most helpful when communicating with companies across the table and listening to their needs.

Grace Wathen is the Administrative Assistant of the Fairfield EDC. After attending Texas Tech University and Lamar University, Grace spent 30 years in the Hotel Industry. Her management responsibilities in the Limited Service hotel field meant an easy transition to her responsibilities for the Fairfield EDC. She has been with Fairfield EDC since 2007 and has actively assisted with projects such as infrastructure development, opening of a career and technical center and several performance agreements in the industrial park during her tenure.
